Senior Software Engineer

Analyze business needs and develop, create, and modify complex computer software applications for education, federal government, state government, and private sector clients. Define system requirements and work with engineers and programmers on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. Oversee implementation of designs and modify existing software to correct errors. Adapt new hardware and improve system performance when needed.
This position requires a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related technical field. Foreign equivalent degrees are acceptable. In addition to the degree, the position requires two (2) years of overall experience in Software Engineering, gained at any time. Jr. Software Engineer
We are currently looking for a self-motivated and independent thinking Jr. Software Engineer who would like to grow with us. The Jr. Software Engineer will be involved in all phases of the software engineering process including capability definition, design, development, test, and demonstration during 30 day sprints. The Jr. Software Engineer must be independent, self-motivated, have strong problem solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with members of the team.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Math, Engineering and 0-2 years of work experience. Applicants may be required to provide college transcript.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies and the ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment Experience with relational databases. Knowledge of XML/XSLT; Good understanding of Object-Oriented programming concepts - especially inheritance, interfaces, and polymorphism; Proficiency in Java-like languages such as C#, Python, etc.
Working knowledge of JavaScript and exposure to Jquery, Ajax, and similar client-side scripting is a plus.
